Artificial intelligence and 3D printing

#artificialintelligence

It is sure now, Artificial Intelligence is part of our future and already allowing to create really advanced devices. But do you know that the 3D printing technology can also make the most of AI? 3D printing is a game-changing technology, constantly evolving and finding new ways to improve itself. It now includes new amazing technologies like Artificial Intelligence. This combination of Artificial Intelligence and 3D printing could lead to new amazing applications of the additive manufacturing technology. Find all the answers to your questions in this blog post.

How AI is radically changing our definition of human creativity

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence is spreading through our lives. As it moves from new feeds to productivity tools, the boundary between what is human-made and machine-made is becoming almost invisible, resulting in vast shifts in how we perceive and interact with the world. AI has surprised us with how it can move, see and hear, but also, with what it can create. Once thought of as a solely human trait, creativity is now a debated topic. Or is a thought process constrained by what us humans define it as? In 2016, Google DeepMind's AlphaGo system trounced the world's reigning champion, Lee Sedol at Go – an ancient Chinese game – by using its creative intelligence to devise a winning strategy.

Large Scale Robotic 3D Printing by 3Dp technology of "Ai Build" QPT

However, it is very expensive or nearly impossible to 3D Print large structures with today's technology due to the small size and slow speed of 3D Printers that are available on the market. A london based company named "Ai Build" is developing 3Dp technology for 3D Printing large scale objects cost efficiently at a very high speed. Google's AI builds its own AI child and it's better than anything humans have made

#artificialintelligence

Google's AI-building AI actually went ahead and built a fully-functional AI child that, as it turns out, is more capable than any AI built by human hands. Historians will look back at this moment, from their ruined cities and hideouts from their robot masters, as the time where the downfall of humanity began. Of course, it's not actually all that doom and gloom, the child AI is really only capable of a specific task – image recognition. Using its AutoML AI, Google's AI-building AI created its child AI using a technique called reinforcement learning. This works just like machine learning, except it's entirely automated where AutoML acts as the neural network for its task-driven AI child.

Jobs in the Age of Artificial Intelligence – Chatbots Magazine

Predictions of robots replacing human workers and rampant job loss are in the news every day. Is AI mired in controversy? If artificial intelligence is really a sleeping giant, why rattle its cage? Why not leave well enough alone? Much to our credit, we have quite an imagination.

Give a 3D printer artificial intelligence, and this is what you'll get

A London-based startup has combined some of today's most disruptive technologies in a bid to change the way we'll build the future. By retrofitting industrial robots with 3D printing guns and artificial intelligence algorithms, Ai Build has constructed machines that can see, create, and even learn from their mistakes. When CEO and founder Daghan Cam was studying architecture, he noticed a disconnect between small-scale manufacturing and large-scale construction. "On one side we have a fully automated production pipeline," Cam explained at a recent conference in London. With the emergence of more efficient printing technologies, he thought there must be a better way.

Logojoy – Can AI build a better logo than you?

#artificialintelligence

In the late 1980s my then local Chinese takeaway inexplicably got a'Make your own business card' machine. As a curious child, not yet set on a future design path, I can remember flicking through all the possible combinations of type and image whilst waiting for my food, having a clear idea of what my red serif type on white card, with an artist's palette in the corner would look like if only I could raise the required funds. Thirty years later for those looking to short-cut their brand identity in a cost-effective manner we have a new service entitled Logojoy. Their website proudly states, "By using artificial intelligence, genetic algorithms, and a few other fancy technologies, we're empowering everyone to design their own logo." What is this fancy technology they talk of?

This Intelligent 3D Printer Is Building Big, Beautiful Structures

#artificialintelligence

Imagine one day walking into a gorgeous structure--like LA's famous Walt Disney Concert Hall--only to discover it was designed by a computer system and constructed by automated robotic arms. Ai Build, a London-based startup, aims to pave the way to 3D printing on large scales. The company is equipping industrial-grade Kuka robotic arms with artificial intelligence and "3D printing guns" to 3D print large structures that focus on maximizing efficiency with labor and materials. Founder and CEO Daghan Cam dreamed up the technology while considering traditional commercial construction and wondering what a more efficient and automated process might look like. In October, the company partnered with engineering consulting firm Arup Engineers to debut the 3D printed "Daedalus Pavilion" at the GPU Technology Conference in Amsterdam.
